World On Pause Festival: 3-Day Virtual Fundraising Event By The Nocturnal Times

Live music events and festivals might be out of the picture for a while now, but the music and entertainment community has done a phenomenal job at keeping morale high through weekly virtual live streams. We’ve only grown stronger and more united as a community despite all the madness, and our team leaders here at The Nocturnal Times have decided to play their role in benefiting those in need through our first-ever virtual fundraising event: World On Pause Festival.
We sought out several of the music industry’s most treasured talents to bring World On Pause to life. Founder of The Nocturnal Times and The 450 Group, Mark Mancino, along with Ariana O’Keefe, our site’s Managing Editor and one of the festival’s main organizers, along with the publication’s Editor-in-Chief, Caroline O’Keefe orchestrated what started as a small idea into the grandiose festival it resulted in. Taking place over three days: Friday, May 1; Saturday, May 2; and Sunday, May 3, World On Pause will deliver performances from more than 60 artists across a variety of genres.
Airing on MrRevillz’s YouTube channel and Pioneer DJ USA’s Twitch, music lovers can tune in for three full days of entertainment, including DJ sets and live performances. RSVP ahead of the festival and you will be entered to win prizes from Pioneer DJ USA, including DJ Gear (XDJ-RX2, DDJ-SX3, DDJ-800) and headphones (HDJ-X10, HDJ-X7, HDJ-X5). Entry for the giveaway will remain open all three festival days on WorldOnPauseFestival.com and winners will be selected and notified in the days following the one-time event. While free to view the World On Pause Festival each day, viewers are strongly encouraged to donate to one or more of the fundraising charities. Donations can be submitted from now until the day after the festival (Monday, May 4).
Three charities to benefit from World On Pause include: The Recording Academy’s MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund; Feed the Children; and the Restaurant Workers’ Community Foundation COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund. Donate to one of these organizations at WorldOnPauseFestival.com.
“World On Pause is an online festival uniting friends and musicians from around the world. Our goal is to share an experience with our fans and provide a bit of normality to those isolating at home. Over the three days we will raise essential funds supporting those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Please tune in, engage and join us for some amazing performances.” – Ashley Revill (Founder of MrRevillz)
Thanks to our incredible team leaders, we were able to turn this vision into a reality in order to contribute to those in need through the power of music. In collaboration with some of the most brilliant names in the live entertainment and media businesses like NYC staple photographer Eric Cunningham, Nice Lasers founder Anthony Garcia, and Authentic Life Media prodigy Angela Samartano, it’s bound to be a digital experience unlike any other. Mark your calendars and prepare to play your part in benefiting everyone affected within our beautiful community by attending our very own virtual fundraising music festival, World On Pause.
“Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the impact the virus was having on those directly affected and on the music & entertainment industries, I wanted nothing more than to find a way to give back to those in need during this crisis. As a native New Yorker, working in various sectors of music & arts for over 15 years, in addition to being the founder of The Nocturnal Times, I’m also an artist manager with my company The 450 Group. I’ve witnessed the effects that this pandemic is especially having on our industry and community from various perspectives. I immediately knew there had to be a way for us to make a difference by utilizing our platforms and uniting with partners like MrRevillz and sponsors such as Pioneer DJ USA, to raise money for three charities that mean a great deal to us. Not only will every fan donation go directly to each respective charity, the entire team, partners & sponsors, the artists and all those involved in bringing World On Pause to life are donating their time and all proceeds. Let World On Pause serve as a dedication to the first responders, essential personnel, those on the front lines, and those who have been most directly impacted by this global pandemic.“ – Mark Mancino (Founder of The Nocturnal Times & The 450 Group)
