The new Waze & Odyssey vs Tommy Theo single is here to warm you up in the last chills of winter. The incredibly hot new single, “Always” has been unleashed today on Ministry of Sound and Last Nite Records.
You may already recognize the lyrics to “Always”. This infectious piano house tune was actually built around vocal samples from George Michael and Mary J Blige’s 1999 cover of a Stevie Wonder classic. And “Always” has been given the seal of approval from all the artist camps – so you know it’s going to be a dancefloor destroyer. Those iconic lyrics compliment the production from Waze & Odyssey and Tommy Theo in every way. With each high energy kick drum, you can’t help but are carefully tweaked and filtered, drawn-out and looped to build real tension as big rubbery kick drums and shiny chords explode all around it to really ignite any dancefloor.
The combination of Waze & Odyssey & Tommy Theo is a perfect pairing. The ever on-point duo have worked their magic on a project originally devised by Tommy Theo, the Dutch maestro. London-based Waze & Odyssey are long-time house music champions who have been turning out a variety of vital grooves for many years on their own record label, as well as Hottrax, Edible and Relief, and are no strangers to reworking Pop classics.
‘”Always” is already receiving major support in Patrick Topping’s sets and is bound to be one of the singles to watch as a main stage anthem this festival season!
