The popular Belgian dance-pop artist and producer Taska Black has returned with another melancholy, yet bright new anthem “When I Come Home” featuring Welsh artist, Violet Skies. This new track follows Taska Black’s stunning piano single “Heavy Hearted.”

“When I Come Home” sheds light on issues that typically go unseen beneath the surface, but need to be addressed before healing can begin.

“It’s like a burden that’s always there and it feels like a fight within yourself. It follows you everywhere and it doesn’t just stop when you close the door after a day of work.” -Taska Black

“Taska and I got on a zoom and we just talked for a few hours about how we’d been feeling during the pandemic. We’d both started learning new things, I’d used the time to learn guitar and he’d started singing lessons. For both of us it had also been therapy, and for Taska it had brought some stuff to the surface that he hadn’t known about himself.” -Violet Skies

When analyzing one’s own mental health especially during unprecedented times like these, it can be heavy to talk about feelings and emotional growth. Taska and Violet both shared a connection because they sought out therapy during the pandemic in order to find their sense of safety and security throughout the uncertainty. “When I Come Home” emphasizes that essence of sadness they felt and how feelings of being trapped can be debilitating. The lyrics throughout the song are representative of this and encapsulate the emotions that many of us experienced throughout the duration of the last year.
