Each year, DJ Times magazine and Pioneer DJ hold their annual poll competition for America’s Best DJ. The winner of America’s Best DJ 2015 is Steve Aoki.
To commemorate the poll closing and a winner being selected, the ABDJ Awards Ceremony and Closing Party is slated for October 11 at Omnia Nightclub in San Diego, CA.
The Dim Mak Records is being handed the title from former number one from 2014, Coldharbour Recordings head and the “Unicorn Slayer,” Markus Schulz.
The final results for America’s Best DJ 2015 included: Steve Aoki (1), Kaskade (2), Diplo (3), Skrillex (4), Claude VonStroke (5), Dillon Francis (6), Bassnectar (7), Flosstradamus (8), A-Trak (9), and Audien (10).
While a majority of the votes for America’s Best DJ 2015 were cast online, there was an America’s Best DJ Summer Tour, which was presented by Pioneer DJ and DJ Times, which hit 20+ clubs and festival events. Some of the events included in the ABDJ tour were EDC Las Vegas, Detroit’s Movement, and Spring Awakening.
“I am incredibly humbled and honored to be chosen as this year’s winner. First and foremost, I want to thank all my fans for their support over the years. I am so grateful that I continue to have the best fans in the world. I would also like to thank everyone at DJ Times and Pioneer for all the years of support as well as acknowledge all the amazing promoters that book me in great venues and festivals across North America. Words cannot express how appreciative I am of this award and I look forward to pursuing my passion as a DJ for decades to come.” – Steve Aoki
“After finishing in the Top 10 for the last few years, Steve Aoki has finally knocked down the door. Through a busy touring schedule that takes him around the globe, entrepreneurial achievements like his influential Dim Mak label, and generous endeavors like The Steve Aoki Charitable Fund, he has earned a unique connection to his audience. In being voted America’s Best DJ 2015, Aoki has earned another feather in his well-adorned cap, and we congratulate him on earning his latest honor.” – Jim Tremayne, Editor, DJ Times
Take part in the closing party at Omnia Nightclub in San Diego where Aoki will be presented with a personalized, gold-plated Pioneer DJM-900nexus mixer for his achievements. The LA-based DJ/producer will release Neon Future Odyssey, which is a combination pack that includes his Neon Future I and Neon Future II albums, in addition to bonus material. Steve celebrates his ABDJ victory with the debut of his new single “The Power of Now” with Headhunterz.
