Always some of the greatest highlights of Miami Music Week, SiriusXM’s events are unforgettable and include soundtracks by some of the finest names in dance music. Following a successful event last year at Faena Miami Beach, SiriusXM’s House of Chill returned for another intimate gathering on the Pao terrace. With downtempo/ deep house performances by Sam Feldt, Lost Frequencies, Armin van Buuren, Conro, SG Lewis, and Above & Beyond, this was certainly a party we won’t soon forget.

Wednesday’s festivities took form with beach-ready sets as industry folks met and gathered for this serene mixer. Broadcast of course live on SiriusXM Chill, listeners could jam along to the evening session as well from home. Faena’s breathtaking backdrop is painted with swaying palm trees and bright blue water – the ideal setting for an event in Miami. Lavish decor and an overall luxurious feel make Faena a standout location, fit for a standout brand.
Building up the evening beginning at 4pm, Sam Feldt took over the decks with his good vibes sound and was followed by Lost Frequencies for more Summer-ready tunes. Dance icon Armin van Buuren played an hour long set in a style he hasn’t quite done yet, which turned out to be a wonderful surprise to all. Hearing tracks like “Another You,” “Sunny Days,” “Therapy,” “I Need You,” and “Blah Blah Blah” in a deeper style definitely added a unique perspective to songs we already love. Canada’s own Conro followed up Armin’s big performance on a vibe-centric note, with SG Lewis carrying the day into night afterward. His charismatic energy flowed straight into a colorful sunset performance by trance legends Above & Beyond.

Above & Beyond returned to the event this year with a surprise closing set that ended things with a beautiful deep spin on their typically emotive trance sound. Familiar with the deeper side of things, Above & Beyond release deep tracks on their Anjunadeep label, housed under Anjunabeats. The vibes they bring to the forefront are perfection in a nutshell, especially at a private mixer such as this where guests can really immerse themselves and be up-close and personal with such legendary artists.
