Now more than ever, breakout musicians Nick Ortega and Emma Maidenberg, better known as PRXZM, are bursting with excitement to share their new music with the whole world. Making their next mark of 2018, Nick and Emma are dropping their second single “Tell Me Something New” this Friday, May 18th. The track is only one of the featured on their upcoming and first ever EP Come Alive and is a surefire entrance to this summer season.
Still riding the wave off of their recent U.S/Canadian tour with MitiS, Nick and Emma put forth a cutting-edge side of themselves with this new single. “Tell Me Something New” is truly PRXZM’s journey through music. While Emma’s soft and sexy voice flow effortlessly with her sincere lyrics, Nick’s chords gradually build from beginning to end, first with simple and isolated beats and transforming into captivating instrumentals. Progressing with slow synths, “Tell Me Something New” features a haunting bassline below deep and intense rhythms. Echoey guitar strings close out “Tell Me Something New” with a purely electrifying yet smooth sound. A song full of electro pop and tranquil vibes, PRXZM is sending fans into a total zone of serenity and mystery with this mix.
“This track is about how exhilarating it is to be with someone new. The thrill and excitement, the first moments of really knowing someone you connect with. That is such a tangible feeling.” – PRXZM
“Tell Me Something New” is being unveiled post PRXZM wrapping up their North American Tour in support of MitiS, and following a whirlwind year of making moves in 2017. While the duo scored collaborations with Virtual Riot, Borgore, Wuki, and MitiS, they also performed at a sold-out show at the esteemed Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado with mega DJ/Producer Marshmello and Jai Wolf. After such a thrilling year, PRXZM is thrilled to also announce their Come Alive EP: out June 8th via Lowly Palace.
The chemistry between this dynamic duo sets them apart from the rest as they rise into the scene with relentless desire to connect with fans and a burning passion for creating music that engages crowds worldwide. Nick and Emma met at Indiana University in 2013, and from originally making music in dorms, to performing around campus, to by their third year leaving each Friday for the airports and shows, the pair developed their signature sound. A blend of pure and honest vocals by Emma combined with Nick’s boundless melodic talent, the two bring something new to the table with their fresh and soulful music, as well as their unique flair in style and performance. Fans have been immediately drawn to the two from their strong relatability in lyrics as well as colorful imagination when it comes to all things production. Four years later and one major headlining tour under their belts, PRXZM is undoubtedly on a high in capturing audiences across the globe and cultivating their loyal fanbase.
