This time around On Planets has come together with HANZ for a stirring new collaboration, released July 30 via NYC-based label Lowly Palace.

“Holiday (Off The Edge)” comes at you with a strikingly haunting and soulful take on life’s hardships and that eerie feeling of wanting to throw it all away. This track is one that can easily get you lost deep in your own thoughts, or place you on the opposite end of the spectrum, completely checked out, vibing to the soft and smooth fusion of sounds so beautifully intertwined.

Representing Vancouver and Norway, On Planets and HANZ’s respective styles mesh effortlessly in this harmonic endeavor. Embracing the softer sides of electronic music, the pair has been able to incorporate feelings of romance, passion, and dreams into their work. On Planets has successfully established himself as a young artist in the game who consistently tells stories teeming with meaning and impact, while HANZ draws inspiration for his work from artists like Medasin, Laxcity, and Electric Mantis to form his experimental approach. Each of them holds the unique capability to bring light to a new take on the electronic music umbrella, forming ethereal and dreamy emotions like those of “Holiday (Off The Edge.)

“When I was in the early stages of making this track it was originally just the chord progression with drums. I put it up on my dump account and kind of forgot about it until On Planets contacted me and asked to collab. We decided to make it into something much bigger than my original plan and we really meshed together to make one of my personal favorite tracks I’ve ever been a part of.” – HANZ

“I wrote the lyrics for this song because of a conversation I had with an older friend who experienced some very unexpected and undeserving hardship at a point in his life that most people hope to be able to relax and start winding down. When I am out in the mountains, spitting over the edge of a sheer drop gives some perspective of just how close I am—one step—from complete obliteration. The song is sort of a sober and pragmatic take on the emotionalized and connotative idea of “giving up”. While I tried in many iterations to write an instrumental that reflected that, one day while cruising through Hanz’s sketches/unreleased there was a beat that struck me right away. The straightforward elegance that he captures in his production is perfect, and from that baseline, the song basically finished itself in a matter of days.” – On Planets

A stand out track to add to each of their repertoires, “Holiday (Off The Edge)” showcases the mission of Lowly Palace perfectly, steering newcomers towards an upward-bound journey in pursuit of their musical dreams.
