In a dream collaboration with pop sensation Zara Larsson and rapper Tyga, Norwegian DJ/Producer Kygo is hitting New Music Friday with “Like It Is.” This release is the first look at his upcoming studio album Golden Hour. The single brings a perfect glimpse as to what fans can expect from the artist with the album to come. Paired with an equally artistic music video, this catchy melody is sure to top the charts in the weeks to come.
Kygo has become an electronic music sensation since his debut in 2014. His first single “Firestone” has amassed nearly forty-seven billion streams across all platforms. Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll began as a bedroom producer to one of the most prominent performers in the world, playing at major international festivals like Tomorroworld, Coachella, and Ultra. Last year, he released “Higher Love” ft. Whitney Houston utilizing recorded vocals from 1990 in an effort made by her sister to remind fans why the world loved her. The single quickly rose to Top 40 on the radio, with nearly 650 million streams across all platforms.
Kygo’s newest release, “Like It Is” stays true to Kygo’s eclectic sound. Paired with Zara Larsson’s dreamy vocals and Tyga’s rhythmic flow, this single is the unparalleled collaboration that we didn’t know we needed. With hints of Kygo’s tropical roots layered with pop synths, this ballad is sure to make its way to charts across the globe through summer.
With his forthcoming album Golden Hour on the horizon, Kygo has given fans around the world something to look forward to this year. Tyga and Zara Larsson both have their own music releases alongside international tours set for the year to come. “Like It Is” is out now via all platforms for streaming.
