Matt Fax is Heading on Tour Ahead of Upcoming Second Album
Published
1 year agoon
A young but mighty force in the progressive sphere and beyond, Matt Fax has received major praise from the highest of heights, from the likes of Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren, Gareth Emery, Chris Lake, and Lane 8. A French artist, he’s also been gathered into a secondary wave of young French artists including Petit Biscuit and Kungs, intently following in the steps of legends like Daft Punk and David Guetta.
You might recognize his sonic talents from his classic “To The Ground,” his 2016 breakout song “Careless,” or “The Noetic” with scene icon BT. Last year the latter was even re-released as a mashup with Morgan Page’s everlasting “The Longest Road” to create the genius “The Longest Road To The Ground,” which unsurprisingly turned out to be a fan-favorite. February of last year brought him a special performance at the progressive stage at Armin van Buuren’s A State Of Trance 900 celebration in The Netherlands. A year of many milestones, the budding talent also racked in the title of youngest guest mixer ever on Above & Beyond’s infamous Group Therapy podcast.
Fax’s latest release titled “Animal” featuring Trove dropped last Friday, January 17 and has taken flight via the Enhanced Music umbrella. The first track on his upcoming second album, “Animal” sets the tone with powerful strides in the progressive underworld. You can certainly catch this song live as he’s also just announced he’ll be joining maestro Jason Ross on tour next month!
You can stream/download “Animal” here.
Although Fax grabbed attention years before surfacing in the scene as a force to be reckoned with, he made the cognitive choice to slow things down and master his art form. Fast forward eight years and the same introspective boy is now a world-class touring artist, established in the game and preparing to release his second studio album.
