If you have yet to hear the latest mix album from Liquid Soul and Magnus that’s currently circling our sphere, please pause what you’re doing to get a taste of the disorientingly psychoactive body of work that is Full On Fluoro Vol. 5.

Harnessing strapping power right off the bat, the album extends its limits down a rabbit hole of kaleidoscopic and psychotropic soundscapes. Carving a lasting name for itself, the fifth edition of Full On Fluoro is helmed by Liquid Soul and Magnus, each highly talented in their musical realm of psychedelic and acidic compositions. Out this July, the extensive record dives deep into the psy depths, offering a distinct vision of this netherworld where they have collectively assembled thirty of the baddest tracks this genre’s current season has to offer.

To assist in compiling Full On Fluoro to reach its max potential, the guys have called in the artistic likes of Vini Vici, Ace Ventura, Yahel, Zyce, Ticon, Liquid Ace, Synphonix, NOK and dozens more. Of course, Liquid Soul and Magnus have each contributed special works of their own into Vol 5, and the outcome has topped the mix dimension in hypersonic speed.

The funky, experimental, dark, twisty, hallucinatory elements of these tracks compile to create one magnificent journey through time. The bassy thrall of Liquid Ace’s “Neurochemistry” is followed by an acidic chaser via Ace Ventura and Symbolic’s “The World That You Know.” Spiraling further you have Liquid Soul and Zyce’s ethereal ethnic mantras within “I See You” and his appropriately titled collab beside Captain Hook for “Liquid Hook.”

Continuing down the line, Fluoro 5 embodies brain-melting, ear-ripping, symphonic mind-liquifiers like “Universe Inside Me” with Vini Vici, “Another World” mixed by E-Clip, and Velocity’s “Lust.” Magnus shines on the second half of the mix, bringing a streamlined, sleek and energy-focused orientation to the album. Incorporating more harmonics and dialing up the atmosphere, he experiments with a 2019 rebuild of his own “Sinelock,” ORAW’s “Perfect Reaction,” “Furthest Reach” with Jirah, and ORAW and Seegmo’s explosive remix of Yahel’s “Ocean.” Letting this one soundtrack our ventures for the next while, and we hope you enjoy Full On Fluoro Vol. 5  in the same light.
