Festival season is coming and will be upon us in no time. With a plethora of lineups and returning festivals already announced; we can tell it’s going to be a busy and dance filled season. Goldenvoice, organizers of the festival of all festivals, Coachella, will once again be bringing something special to New York. The east coast beast known as Panorama will be returning to the Big Apple for yet another year of a massive collection of music and arts on Randall’s Island.
Taking over the beautifully placed oasis known as Randall’s Island smack in the middle of New York City, Panorama will return for a third consecutive year on July 27, 28, and 29, 2018. Not only a multi genre music festival, but Panorama also houses the Hewlett-Packard sponsored “The Lab” massive art component. Packed with creatively placed installations from interactive space exhibits to a 360-virtual reality theater, festival goers can browse both a collection of art and tech exhibits from local NYC artists that can only be experienced at Panorama Music Festival.
Recently releasing their vast roster of performers, we can guarantee there will be favorites for everyone in attendance that weekend. Kicking off Friday with Migos, The War on Drugs, Dua Lipa and a personal favorite, The Weeknd, day 1 will be the perfect start to a weekend full of unmatched talent. Saturday; headlined by the one and only Janet Jackson with performances from SZA, Cardi B, Gucci Mane, to just name a few will be a jam-packed day of exploring festival grounds and bumping to beats with every step. Closing out the festival, The Killers will share the Sunday stages with The XX, Odesza, and a number of other extremely talented acts.
As if music and art to browse for a whole weekend doesn’t sound exciting enough, the food and beer will be there to satisfy as well. Bringing some of the finest craft beers and food vendors New York has to brag about, Panorama will be an experience like no other. Start planning, summer will be here before we know it; and this, is a festival you will not want to miss. From electronic music to hip-hop, rap to indie, there will something for every to hear, see, love and experience.
