GAWM’s remix of Lucchii’s hybrid-trap single “Chosen Ones” (release on Music High Court) expands on the already energetic style of the original, adding a festival-ready screeching baseline over a hard-trap drum groove. GAWM borrows wobbles and glitches from the dubstep genre, infusing it into his production. With extensive experience in both the hip-hop and EDM production styles, GAWM brings us the best of both worlds, with rhythmic hip-hop inspired drums and powerful EDM synthesizers.
The LA-based producer says he’s honored to remix the song of one of his favorite producers: “Lucchii has been a big inspiration for a while now. I ran across his music about 2/3 years ago and ever since then I’ve been a fan of his music, so being a part of this remix EP it got me a little too excited.” GAWM’s hard-hitting flip of Lucchii’s “Chosen Ones” is certainly worth a listen for hip-hop and dance fans alike.
