Every year, we all look forward to those warm Summer months, aka the peak of music festival season. It’s the time of year when we feel whole, and while so many amazing music festivals exist throughout, there’s just something about one in particular. Electric Forest is one of the most uniquely designed music festivals to exist, and everything about it is completely unimaginable in the most striking way. It’s a place where we can get lost and find ourselves all over again, and we can’t wait to experience it all with you beneath the trees.
In the forest, there’s no such thing as right or wrong. There’s no specific way of doing things. Everyone just moves to the beat of their own drum and completely lets go of the real world for four days at a time. It’s a place where we can truly be ourselves, a place where our souls and our spirits come to life and vibrate at the highest of levels. For many, it’s a sacred place, it’s home. Electric Forest encompasses all the beauty that exists in the world all under one electrifying sky, and every aspect of the festival truly coexists as one. It’s an experience so incredible, words just don’t do it justice.
This time around, the festival will take place from July 27-30 for one weekend only, unlike its past productions which have taken place over the course of two weekends. With the tremendous amount of attention Electric Forest has gained over the years, this just simply means that an even greater level of production will be showcased during this year’s installment. It also means that more beautiful souls, creativity, music, and art will all intertwine within the same ambiance unlike ever before. With even more vibrant energies aligning in one place over the course of just one weekend, we anticipate the merriest crowd of all!
For four consecutive days, we’ll all be indulged into a world full of some of the most one-of-a-kind live sounds ever imagined. Ranging from a wide array of musical interests, this year’s lineup is one of the most striking and diversified to date. ODESZA, Kygo, Bassnectar, Zeds Dead, and The String Cheese Incident will headline the festival, and artists like 12th Planet, Alison Wonderland, Claude VonStroke, Ganja White Night, T-Pain, The Floozies, Gramatik, Gorgon City, Seven Lions, and many more are also set to take us on an eventful musical journey. The fest’s uniquely curated event series will also be returning to the forest this year, kicking off with NGHTMRE & SLANDER PRESENT: GUD VIBRATIONS on Thursday. Attendees can headbang to their liking at BASSRUSH the following day, and time travel back to Studio 54est for the most groovy sounds and vibes embodying those from the ’70s.
Apart from all the music that engulfs the forest, throughout its vast atmosphere lies some of the most renowned artistic collections and displays. From paintings, wall art, and sculptures to jewelry and clothing items, anything that catches your eye can be purchased or simply admired throughout the forest. There’s even a tiny antique shop within one of the festival’s hidden forest stages, in which you can barter and trade items with strangers. Everywhere you turn there seems to be something intriguing, whether it be the inspirational quotes dispersed throughout, mesmerizing decor, or simply seeing everyone vibe so effortlessly. Electric Forest is without a doubt the place to be, and hands down a festival you need to experience at least once in your lifetime.
With a little over two months left to prepare, we’re already counting down the days until we’re back in the most magical place on Earth. The small town of Rothbury, Michigan is about to be taken over by Electric Forest and all the beautiful aspects that it embodies. As attendees travel from all over the States, it’s about to be a four-day weekend full of nothing but eclectic live music, endless dancing, positive vibes, and captivating art of all kinds.
