Over the last 10 years, esteemed label Life and Death has dedicated time to releasing soulful electronic music influenced by a post-rock aesthetic. Now, the label head DJ Tennis has decided to celebrate this decade-long achievement by launching lifeanddeath.us

The brand new website is a psychedelic entrance into the world of Life and Death through the medium of new releases, mixes, and informative podcasts. Not to mention, the one-of-a-kind merchandise, brilliant video imagery, and elaborate editorial pieces. Once fans subscribe to the inaugural newsletter, they will be given an MP3 download of an unreleased catalogue track as well as a 10% discount code towards the purchase of merchandise located in the ‘Store’ section.

“It’s been a very long journey to arrive at our 10 year anniversary, and we are launching the website to celebrate the paths we’ve created musically and artistically throughout this past decade. Especially now during this global crisis, our Life and Death Passengers subscription is our way of connecting and interacting directly with our fans around the globe. We’re excited to expand our support of the artists and creators we’ve linked up with through our world travels and international events; our Store and Stories sections will amplify our support of the musicians, visual artists, fashion designers, and other creatives that we’ve collaborated alongside, all stemming from our shared love of the music.” – DJ Tennis

To add to the long list of perks found on just one captivating website, hardcore fans who want exclusive access into the label’s enchanting world can get the ‘Life and Death Passengers’ membership. Influenced by DJ Tennis’ multi dimensional out-of-body experiences and the fans’ aural journeys from listening to the label’s tunes, the membership grants access to exclusive downloads, early bird ticket sales and giveaways, private workshops and tutorials, sample packs, and limited-edition products. The total annual cost is $70.00 or just $8.00 per month.

Any ‘Life and Death Passenger’ will also be granted one advanced digital EP download per month and intermittent cuts from the archive. Additionally, they will be allowed to partake in one private workshop per month curated by the Life and Death team along with video Q&A sessions and giveaways. The endless access continues with special edition podcasts, mixes, and early access to limited-run ‘Store’ drops. Finally, 20 files from DJ Tennis’ handcrafted sample pack and an exclusive early bird ticket purchasing option can be accessed for when events resume.

In conjunction with the website’s launch comes LADTV a featured channel that is overflowing with music streams, video segments, and playlists. Beyond the music programming, LADTV gives viewers perspective into the lives of the label’s roster. Expect DJ Tennis to be showing off his culinary skills or even working on his bike.

The ‘Store’ section is brimming with label-branded gear as well as unique pieces from up and coming designers. Every item is handmade, from clothing and skateboards, to jewelry and collectibles, and new offerings will drop every eight to ten weeks.

Tie-dyed t-shirts and sweatshirts are part of the first installment with Belgian-based Lacuna Studios along with a line of t-shirts, hologram collector stickers, and vinyl covers in collaboration with respected illustrator, Sam Taylor. Mexican artisan, Natalia Aranda contributes colorful and vibrant face coverings and Los-Angeles based, Esteban Joseph, provides sterling silver necklaces shaped like the blackbird logo of Life and Death. This necklace has a detachable head and is customizable.

To top off the extensive options on this site, the ‘Stories’ section provides a platform for interviews with label musicians, visual artists, photographers, fashion brands, and more. Continuing to maintain the DIY mentality, Life and Death highlights rising talent and creatives supported by the brand through open conversation that surround artistic inspirations, philosophies, and methods.

Overall, lifeanddeath.us is a hot-spot for groundbreaking content across all platforms that demonstrate the underground label’s dedication to expanding artistic borders.
