The mystifying producer, DEVAULT, has meticulously prepared us for the release of the second installment to his developing audio and visual experience. “Sapphire” in tune with his typical gemstone aesthetics and respective visuals, is out now via Insomniac Records.
There have been overwhelmingly positive remarks to JADE made by tastemakers like FLAUNT Magazine and Playboy who praised his commitment to originality, commenting that he possesses, “a sort of fearlessness.. the reason why he has been so successful thus far.”
“I wanted to create something that pays homage to the music that got me so excited about electronic music in the first place,” he states, “the new wave sounds of the 80’s, the French Touch, and the rave music of the 90’s all influenced this record.”
-DEVAULT
At its center, “Sapphire” takes on this creative mentality to its truest form. It is a track that tells a story with a retro movie-like feel, best experienced with the accompanying visual. Similar to JADE, it is a combination of music genres that expresses his roots and devotion to maintain his journey. The full SAPPHIRE tape is set to drop in the near future, so keep an eye out for DEVAULT who seems to be solidifying himself as a household name.
What began as a hobby in Orange County soon became a full-time dream. This new wave sound full of dark rhythms and ethereal-like sound design turned this electronic artist into who we now know as DEVAULT. After discovering his hidden pulse within, he was no longer in search of a genre and his audience began to grow. Throughout his career, he has been tapped for remixes for Rihanna, Lorde, and 6lack, earning millions of plays on all platforms. He was also a crucial part of Rihanna’s “Sex With Me” #1 spot on the Billboard Dance charts. DEVAULT was noticed early on for his remix of DJ Snake’s “A Different Way” which was named one of the top ten remixes of 2017. He went on to release his debut EP STAY in 2018, which featured NJOMZA, Bipolar Sunshine, Matt Maeson, and Porches.
