Cat Dealers Follow Up “Gone Too Long” with Thought- Provoking Music Video

Brotherly Brazilian duo Cat Dealers are back to unveil the official music video follow up to their hit track, “Gone Too Long,” beside Bruno Martini and Joy Corporation.

Cat Dealers have smashed the Brazilian electronic dance music circuit in recent years, amassing beyond 7 million streams on “Gone Too Long” alone since its January release. The track has quickly risen as a staple pop/dance crossover that was made for the dance floor as well as the Main Stage.

Now with the music video to pair, the track is complete and features a creative visual accompaniment courtesy of Philippe Noguchi as Director for the picturesque concept. A more artistic project than they have ever done before, this video presents a free interpretation of the track’s lyrics. The story follows contemporary dancer Pam de Brito as she interacts with the brotherly duo, telling the song’s story of heartbreak through dance. The set takes place on an old farm in the city of Osasco, Brazil, and draws inspiration from surrealist photographer Kyle Thompson. Mirroring his work with shots of the guys neck deep in water, the video stands as another wonderful example of how this duo is shaking up the dance music scene, offering up a thought-provoking visual to add more dimension to its audio counterpart.

Watch the imaginative video in full below:

“Even before the track was released we knew that we wanted to make a music video for ‘Gone Too Long’ that was different from anything we’d ever done before. The idea was to do something more artistic and with no linear story, that could have a unique meaning for each person who watched the video. We ended up getting to know Philippe’s (Noguchi) work and he sent us a script that we found absolutely crazy (laugh), but that had everything to do with the ideas that we had in mind. We hope you guys will enjoy it and make a few theories on what it means” – Cat Dealers

“Gone Too Long” can be streamed or purchased here.
