Audien fans are on cloud nine this week, as the GRAMMY-nominated DJ/ producer has returned with not only a new single but also a national tour for this fall. ‘Buzzing’ featuring Nevve is out now, bringing a passionate ballad to the forefront of his highly anticipated upcoming album release.
With this memorable new tune, it shows that he is “still the same guy he was seven years ago” that his fans have come to love and respect. Alongside the exciting original record, this internationally-recognized talent has released the dates for his upcoming debut Escapism Tour.
Connecticut-born artist Audien has established himself as one of the globe’s most treasured and admired musical creators in the last eleven years since his debut. Since then, his career has launched successfully into becoming a major influence over the dance music industry. With co-signs from the likes of Tiesto, Above & Beyond, and Armin van Buuren, it is apparent that his calling in life is to be a producer. Today, Audien has played the largest festival stages in the world and has a GRAMMY-nominated remix of Bastille’s “Pompeii.” With huge collaborations and nearly 270 million Spotify monthly streams, his influence over the electronic music industry is ever-evolving.
Audien’s new single “Buzzing” is a heartfelt tribute to the way love can make you feel. Nevve’s angelic vocals paired with light synths and minimal percussion brings a softer anthem that reminds listeners of his earlier works. This easy-listening tune is independently released to signify his commitment to creating music without boundaries or outside influence. Although this may seem like a change from his recent releases, he wants his fans to know that this new frontier should be met with open arms. When asked what the significance of his new music is, he proudly states:
“Diversity. I want to show that I can make many different styles of music, but tie them together with a common theme. Ultimately, I want to make people feel stuff, with melodies, and lyrics. I’m not reinventing the wheel, but I’m accentuating the art I’ve created for almost a decade. It’s the best form of what I’m known for.” – Audien
The artist’s upcoming fall tour will be unlike any other that has been seen by Audien listeners before. With new stage design and increased production, this new frontier for his career is sure to surprise fans with every turn. The tour will run from Los Angeles to Brooklyn, with an ambitious tour schedule spanning across November to December. With an upcoming album to look forward to and a national tour, Audien is sure to keep the music scene on its feet the next few months.
