Amidst a week packed to the brim with madness, music, and mayhem, esteemed Dutch label Armada Music accomplished a slew of events during this year’s installation of the Amsterdam Dance Event. Hosting an entire five days of parties, lunches, club events, and innovative surprises, Armada welcomed devout fans and industry professionals alike into their lively home for an unforgettable experience written down in the dance music history books.

One of the week’s main events, of course, was the A State of Trance live marathon on Thursday, October 18 which featured a full 9 hours of musical bliss in none other than the ASOT studio and Club Armada, both comfortably nestled into the middle of Armada’s home base in Amsterdam. Hosts Armin van Buuren and Ruben de Ronde did a superb job of cranking up the tunes, sharing the spotlight with fellow producers, and cheerfully inviting guests to enjoy the extended ASOT 886 episode right beside them in true party fashion. The week’s special guests included a genius array of friends and producers like John Askew, Elevven, Ferry Corsten, Estiva, Sneijder, Markus Schulz, Luke Bond, BT b2b Matt Fax, Davey Asprey, Alex M.O.R.P.H., Shapov, David Gravell, Ben Gold, Alpha 9, Andrew Rayel, Haliene, and more. What an incredible celebration this proved to be – a recognition of all of the long hours, creativity, and passion behind the music we listen to so frequently.

A very special interlude for a very special occasion commenced as well that day, where Armin took a select group of fans on a top-secret journey to an unknown destination where they’d soon be lifted hundreds of feet up in the air, as this year’s theme for ASOT 900 was proudly revealed as ‘Lifting You Higher,’ which will be officially celebrated on February 23 in Utrecht beside legendary group Above & Beyond, as well as on March 3 in Madrid, and on June 23 in Kiev.

Beyond ASOT 886, Armada hosted several days of their Armada Invites series, which was a continuation of the fun-filled festivities. Thursday was, of course, the ASOT centered invites, blending beautifully with ASOT 886 already in full swing. Friday followed with a house edition of the sequence, while Saturday hosted a more bigroom/ main stage centered sound. Each adrenalizing day picked up further and further, ultimately creating an entire week of extraordinary times and unique remembrances of ADE 2018 through the Armada lense.

The wondrous setup and continuous space Armada provides easily encouraged everyone to ‘Be In The Moment’ as they mingled about and danced their hearts out alongside like-minded friends throughout each day. This proved to be a one of a kind experience and a dream come true to see come to life before our own eyes. After all is said and done, we think of it as a surreal reminder to continue following your dreams and what inspires you to keep going every day, step by step inching closer to your goals, (all with a glorious soundtrack as fuel for the journey of course!)
