The time is upon us again. It’s festival season! With temperatures finally climbing up to greet us into the summer, we’re ready to spend our weekends jamming, dancing and exploring forests, deserts, and inner cities. Fulfill your festival itch with Firefly Music Festival this year held in Dover, Delaware for four lovely days in June. Starting on Thursday June 14, 2018 and spanning the whole weekend until Sunday June 17, 2018 get your dancing shoes ready for a weekend you won’t forget. Produced by Red Frog Event alongside Goldenvoice, Firefly will be returning to The Woodlands of Dover International Speedway for a 6th successful year. Spread across a vast 105-acre festival ground, is an all outdoors camping festival housing over 100 performances of all musical genres for all ages.
Firefly 2018 brings a top-notch collection of artists to Delaware. Thursday artists: Chromeo, Blackbear, and Jax Jones will warm up the crowd for some big names you won’t want to miss. Friday will sport an eclectic collection of acts ranging from English rock band, Arctic Monkeys, to American rapper Logic, to hip-hop/jazzy instrumental electronic duo Big Gigantic. Set to also perform on Friday will be Foster the People, Jimmy Eat World, Cheat Codes, Marian Hill, to just name a few. As if this wasn’t exciting enough, we’re not even at Saturday’s lineup yet! Making a long-awaited return after being a top selling artist of the 2000’s and recently releasing yet another killer album, Revival, Eminem will grace the crowd with his veteran talents. In addition, The Killers, Lil Wayne, Martin Garrix, Portugal, The Man, Vance Joy, and San Holo, to just name a few more, will be tearing up their acts on Saturday as well. After 3 days of intense live sets, DJ sets, light shows, and entertainment, Sunday will still have you jumping with joy through the day. With performances from Kendrick Lamar, Odesza, SZA, MGMT, Alt-J, and many others, you’ll want to save some energy for day four.
Just as you thought, Wow! What an awesome lineup; there’s still, more. Experience The Brewery, The Coffee House, The Market, The Thicket, The Nook, Firefly Eats, Treehouse Sessions, and The Pathway set up all around festival grounds. The Thicket is a set-up deep in the heart of The Woodlands, where festival goers can expect to find the party always jamming. The Firefly Family comes together with a pair of headphones day and night. The Nook, a not so secret getaway, allows attendees to kick back and relax during some down time in hammocks between favorite acts. As every festival opens up doors to new music, Treehouse Sessions brings new music discovery to a new level. Returning this year after a hiatus, fans will have the opportunity to experience acoustic performances from new and upcoming bands from Firefly’s very own … TREE HOUSE! Firefly Music Festival jams on from morning to nighttime. And when the night sets in, the true colors begin to show. Swing by The Pathway to peep some lighting displays throughout a forest right after sunset from some unforgettable sights.
With several camping options for this extravagant weekend in June you won’t want to miss out on your chance to experience this awesome fest. Grab your tickets, as summer is just around the corner and Firefly Music Festival will be here before you know it!
